The Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia controversy continues to make waves as new developments emerge almost every day. It all started when Ranveer made a controversial ‘sex with parents’ joke during Samay’s India’s Got Latent show. The joke had sparked outrage and received massive backlash online, and led to multiple FIRs being filed against both the YouTuber and the comedian. The Supreme court had also slammed YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia for his distasteful remarks and referred to them as “vulgar” and even mentioned that he should feel “ashamed” of his actions.
A video has now gone viral wherein the cops can be seen arresting arresting two men. Many have claimed that the men seen in this video are Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina. However, after cross-checking the details, it was discovered that they aren’t Ranveer and Samay. The video dates back to 2023, and shows a police arrest that is related to a parking dispute in Greater Noida. It has no connection to the India’ Got Latent controversy.
The two men in the aforementioned video who were arrested are Daya Shankar and Hriday Shankar. For those unaware, Samay Raina is currently not in India. Recently, he performed in Canada, which was his first live performance after the SC judgement. On the other hand, Ranveer has been laying low ever since the controversy began.

Coming to the Supreme Court judgement on Ranveer, the YouTuber has been granted a bail. However, the SC has slammed Allahbadia and said, “The words you have chosen, the parents will feel ashamed, daughters and sisters will feel ashamed, your younger brother will feel ashamed, the entire society will feel ashamed. We would like to know, in this country, if this is not obscenity then what is the standard of obscenity?”
