Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged a “strong response” to a wave of rockets fired by Hamas on Sunday. At least 44 people were killed by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza throughout the day, as Israel continued its brutal military operations in the besieged enclave after the ceasefire broke down last month.
